Nominations are now open for the 2010 election of IEEE Oregon Section Officers.  The officers to be selected during this year's election are: Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary.  The responsibilities for each of these positions is listed below.

Chair-   Leads Executive Committee meetings once a month.  Leads officer meetings preceding each Executive Committee meeting.  Represents the Oregon Section at national and regional IEEE meetings.  Sets direction for Section initiatives and activities.  One year term of office with one re-election.

Vice Chair-   Assists the Section chair as needed.  Leads Executive Committee meetings when the Chair can not.  Organizes the yearly dinner for all Society Chapter Chairs.  One year term of office with one re-election.

Treasurer-   Maintains all financial records for the Section.  Pays Section expenses, including funds to Society Chapters for their programs.  Makes financial reports to the IEEE annually.  One year term of office with one re-election.

Secretary-   Writes and posts minutes for all Executive Committee meetings.  Sends out all Section wide announcements.  Makes meeting reports to the IEEE monthly. One year term of office with one re-election.
